The New Shockproof Launches October 5
Six new learning paths, short modules with a learning check after each one, and two certificates: one for finishing, one for excellence. What changes on October 5, and what stays the same.
The new Shockproof launches on Monday, October 5, 2026, with six new learning paths, including rebuilt versions of its long-running C&I and CRE underwriting paths. Every course is built from 10-15 minute modules with a learning check after each one and a quiz after each course, and new paths follow regularly.
Six New Learning Paths at Launch
Six learning paths are available on day one: C&I Loan Underwriting, CRE Loan Underwriting, Accounting & Finance Foundations for Lenders, Commercial Lending Fundamentals, Commercial Construction Lending, and Automotive Dealer Lending. Several are new versions of long-running Shockproof paths.
The two foundations paths are built for new banking professionals: one teaches reading financial statements, property operating statements and tax returns fluently, and the other teaches how commercial lending works. The underwriting and specialty paths build on that foundation.
How Every Course Works
Every course is built from 10-15 minute modules. Each module ends with a learning check, and each course ends with a quiz. Detailed case studies run through the courses, so learners apply each concept to a borrower file rather than memorizing definitions.
The short format is about control, not attention spans. Learners can fit a module between meetings, and stop, rewind or repeat as needed. Teams that want an expert in the loop can add Expert Coaching.
Two Certificates
Learners who finish a learning path earn a Certificate of Completion. Those who score 80% or better on its course quizzes earn a Certificate of Excellence. Any course or quiz can be retaken as many times as it takes to get it right, so learners can close gaps before they earn a certificate.
New Paths on the Way
After launch, we plan to release new learning paths regularly, about one to two a week, across C&I, commercial real estate, construction, specialty lending and more. The full catalog shows what is available now and what is coming soon.
What Does Not Change
Shockproof’s 26-year commitment to cash flow analysis does not change. Each path is built by credit professionals with decades of commercial lending experience. The method is the same one that has trained more than 125,000 bankers; what changed is how it is taught.
